Sextet has become the leader in Spacer Fabrics. Both plain and jacquard are being used for applications ranging from Bra Cups to Costumes.   Among the many industries that use spacers are Intimate Apparel, Motion Pictures, Children's apparel, Theme Park Character costumes, Skydiving suits, Wheelchair covers, and Orthopedic braces.    

Spacer knits are double-layered circular knits with a cushion of air and “spring-like” yarns between the two sides. This unique fabric class is knit in one continuous operation. Although it looks like several fabrics bonded together, it is actually one fabric that cannot be separated by layer. Special yarns are selected for aesthetic qualities (i.e.: soft hand, bright/dull, etc.) and for performance properties (i.e.: moisture transport, thermal insulation or conductance, anti-microbial, etc.).

We have both circular knit and warp knit spacers. Among the benefits of our circular knit Spacers is our ability to make fancy jacquard designs on the face of the fabric. We can change patterns and yarns quickly for shorter runs.  Warp knit spacers have larger mesh openings and can be made thicker for more industrial applications.

The end uses are limited only by your imagination.

Our most popular spacer style.   Great stretch and durability.  We can apply a DWR (durable water repellant) finish for use in contact with moisture or water such as swim wear.   Made with dull micro-fiber polyester on one side and a shiny polyester on the reverse.   We have stock in White and Black and assorted colors. We also custom dye this fabric.
